You must have heard the hype about the Microsoft’s upcoming entertainment pod, Zune HD. This gadget is packed up with some cutting edge specifications which include support for HD videos, Wi-Fi connectivity, multi-touch capabilities, gigantic battery life etc.
Zune HD incorporates Nvidia’s latest, technologically superior Tegra chip. It also contain accelerometer for switching into widescreen mode when tilted. A 3.3 inch OLED screen is used to display the HD videos along with the multi touch support. The gizmo has a support for pictures as well.
The Tegra chip contains 8 processors integrated as SoC (System on Chip). These include HD Video Decoder, HD Video Encoder, 2D Engine, Imaging, GPU (3D graphics), Audio, and two ARM cores. Some of its corrected specifications (as per the pdf version of the spec sheet) are
