Stealth Computer releases waterproof fanless PC



Stealth.com Inc has launched a very rugged and extreme environment worthy personal computer. This computer is designed so as to withstand water, liquids, chemicals, dust etc. and keep the system running when ordinary hardware fails.

The website states that

The new Stealth WPC-500F is a rugged PC that is completely water-tight, surviving liquids, chemicals, dust and dirt intrusion, meeting IP67/NEMA 6 environmental specifications. Designed without cooling fans the internal CPU is cooled through advanced heat pipe technology.

The cooling is achieved by having the aluminum chassis acting as a heat sink to dissipate heat of both the processor and the internal circuitry. The system is Windows Xp/Vista compliant and can also run Linux operating system. The product has the soaring price tag of $1995.00
