High speed Corsair’s P256 256GB solid state drive now for sale



Corsair’s P256 incorporates Samsung MLC flash memory and a  Samsung Controller IC, coupled with 128MB of cache memory and Native Command Queuing (NCQ) support for stutter-free performance. The company claims reading speeds of up to 220MB/sec and writing speed of 200MB/sec. With high speed, the device comes with a big price tag of $658 online.

Corsair solid state disk drives set a new standard for reliability in desktop and notebook storage solutions. Corsair solid state disk drives utilize specially selected ICs to enable a life expectancy of over 100 years and impact resistance up to 1500Gs.

Unlike traditional mechanical hard disk drives, Corsair solid state disk drives have no moving parts. This results in faster system responsiveness, quieter operation and reduced overall system temperatures.
