Apple is working on redefining newspapers, magazines, books etc. Brian Lam wrote about their negotiations for content acquirement and then conversion into the electronic version. This would be yet an other utility of the multi-touch technology by which users could easily read and browse their favorite stuff with a headache. This sure will change the way people look at the print media these day.

You can access these features by going to www.google.com/m/local, or just click on the Local tab on google.com. At the moment, this feature is available in US and China only. Here is a quick video demo:
Orange and Apple and reached upon an agreement regarding the sale of iPhone in United Kingdom. Although it has not announced the date of release but it is expected by the end of this year.
Gmail, the email service of Google, had been experiencing some service problems for the past couple of months and had yet again undergone the same issue this Thursday. As more and more people are shifting to Gmail, their personal as well as business lives come along. It really becomes frustrating to sit in front of the computer just waiting for the inbox to load.
Google had admitted that a few of its users have been experiencing slower inbox reload but the website did not crash. This issue is becoming the soaring topic in the blogosphere as many are being affected.

With all the buzz about the Apple’s rejection of Google Voice, there are several factors which will more likely decide the end results in the favor of Google. Here are some of those:
Its pretty unfair to allow other VoIP applications, like Skype, and deny Google Voice. Justice demands same rules for all.
With the challenging popularity of Google Voice on other gizmos, it will be quite difficult to sustain the pressure of quality competition.
The US Federal Communications Commission is dealing with the issue and its stance is that ISPs shouldn’t block or impair the ability of consumers to use Internet services.
End Users require convenience at cheaper rates. For them, “duplicating the core dialer functionality” doesn’t matter.
Apple’s approach as a Big Boss is quite disliked by the general public especially after the contradicting statements regarding this issue.
VoIP is the Next Big Thing. Its the future of cost effective and more diversified communication. Denying it would not reduce its vitality.
Google has admitted in its comments that Apple did rejected the Google Voice Application for iPhone, contrary to the Apple denial. Google said this in its statement to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission which published it on its website.
Google states that Apple did inform about the issue and claims that Google Voice duplicated the core dialer functionality of the iPhone.
Apple’s stand on this regard is that it had some agreements with AT&T, the carrier for iPhone, regarding restrictions on making Internet calls which would adversely affect the call rates. But Google’s Voice is not the only application supporting the VoIP (e.g. Skype) which allows the user to make internet calls.

Adobe Systems has released the newer versions for its Lightroom and Camera Raw which are 2.5 and 5.5 respectively. These can be downloaded from their website or through the update option available in the software.
Adobe’s Photoshop Lightroom software enhances and improves digital photography while Camera Raw is a Photoshop plugin which provides fast and easy access to raw image formats produced by many leading cameras.
The newer versions support the Nikon’s D300s and D3000, Olympus E-P1 and Panasonic DMC-GF1 and DMC-FZ35 cameras. Both software updates correct demosaic algorithms for cameras that use Bayer sensors with “unequal green response.” This includes models from Olympus, Panasonic, and Sony. The change provides “only a subtle visual improvement to the processing of those raw files.”
